All About Shipping

🌡️ Summer Shipping Protection for Heat-Sensitive Items🌡️

To ensure your orders arrive in good condition, we use special thermal packaging and extra protective measures during the warmer months.

From April through September (and sometimes into October/November, depending on the weather), we apply upgraded packaging to help keep your items safe from heat for these products:

  • Candles

  • Wax Melts

  • Face Polish - Face Scrubs

  • Sugar Scrubs

  • Lip Balms

  • Beard Balms

  • Conditioner Bars

  • Gift Sets that contain any of the above items

Because of the additional materials and care involved, we add a flat Summer Shipping Rate of $16.95 to every order that includes any heat-sensitive items. This rate applies regardless of other items in your cart or whether the order would normally qualify for free shipping. Please note that the "Free Shipping" progress bar reflects standard shipping only and does not include this protection rate. As a result, the rate will still apply at checkout. We’re committed to delivering your favorites looking and performing their best — thank you for understanding!

**** Note if you are local to our area and want to pickup your order instead, please contact me at denise@180soap.com with your order number and I can initiate a refund for this shipping fee once your order is picked up.  Refunds generally take 7-14 business days to appear with your financial institution, however you will receive an email confirmation after the refund has been initiated.

RATES:  We ship via USPS and UPS!   Most shipments are also discounted by us and in most cases, shipping fees are actually higher than what we actually charge you - because our products are small but heavy! We currently do not ship internationally.

 

Mississippi Residents:  Pickup & USPS

  • Pickup - Local Residents Only. If you are not local to D'Iberville, your order will be cancelled
    • Local areas: St. Martin, Woolmarket, Vancleave, Ocean Springs, Latimer, Biloxi, Saucier, Gulfport, and immediate surrounding areas

  • All other 48 states: Rates calculated by USPS (United States Postal Service)​​​

  • Alaska:  USPS Calculated Rate Shipping

    • Rates are calculated by product weight and appear at checkout​

  • APO/HI, PR, US Virgin Islands & Other:

    • We currently do not ship to APO's, Hawaii, International, US Virgin Islands, or Puerto Rico, or internationally.

If you are requesting your items via another carrier such as UPS, we will send you a quote on the rates and balance due. We will apply the balance you paid for your USPS shipping towards your UPS shipment.  We do not ship via FedEx or any other carriers. 

All our products are usually shipped using USPS (United States Postal Service) and UPS. If your product does not arrive or shows delivered and/or you cannot locate the package, you will need to file a claim directly with the carrier.  We are unable to file a claim on your behalf.

How Long does it take to receive my order?

Items generally ship within 3-5 days after the order is processed and longer during holidays. You can track the progress of your shipment once we send you a shipment confirmation email.  For custom soap orders, please allow 4 weeks before shipping to accommodate cure time of product to avoid warping or denting of soaps. Peak Holiday Seasons - please expect 5-7 days to process orders. You will be emailed once your package has shipped with tracking information.  Be patient with us when inclement weather hits!  We are located in South Mississippi and tend to get some funky weather from time to time.  Also, we may be shipping your order in separate shipments as some of our stock is in different locations. We will send you an email with tracking numbers on each item so you can track your item(s) progress!  


NOTE!!!   We are not responsible for damaged, melted, dented, or warped products due to weather, environmental factors, mishandling by shipping carrier, and/or including missing shipments.  Shipping any naturally made products such as conditioner bars, shampoo bars, body butter, lip balm, face scrub, sugar scrubs, and many other products in warmer temps may lead to melting when temperatures rise above 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit.  If you are filing a claim for any reason other than a wrong product, you'll need to do so directly with the carrier.

Melting while in shipment usually happens in South Mississippi (and many other Southern/Midwestern states) from April through October.  If you are adamant to have your item shipped and melting occurs, we recommend the following:

Conditioner Bars:  Extract all ingredients from sealed bag, place in a heat proof container and heat on VERY low temperature just until all the product is in a liquid state. Once melted, place in clean and sanitized mold to reshape (any make-shift mold could do - just make sure you can extract from the container you used). Let cool at room temp. Let it cool and once solid it is ready to use. For this reason, we also bag the item in a ziploc style packaging.
Lip Balms – once received, do not open.  Place product in cool area standing product upright for at least an hour or more to cool. Some product may still be stuck in lid once cooled.
Sugar Scrubs - Lotions - Beard Balms - Face Scrubs - Face Polish: Open product lid and place in cool/air-conditioned area. Use a clean and sterile item to stir ingredients vigorously until melted items are re-incorporated. Let cool, close lid when done. Leave to settle for around 1 hour or longer.

Returns/Issues:

Since our products are bath products and personal hygiene items, we do not accept returns on these items.  IF however you are not satisfied with your product, reach out to us so we can help determine what we can do to help.  If you didn't get what you ordered and/or your order is incorrect, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.  We love our customers and we love our products - we want everyone to experience the same joys we do when using them!
